My June entry for Robin Atkins' bead journal project (a group of artists are creating a beaded journal page a month, ala the quilt journal project but with beads). My pages will be 5" x 5" and then mounted on some paging format, unless I decide to do something different. June's piece is inspired by the fields of corn and soybeans growing around my home.
Full view, including roadside flora.
Detail of flowers, includes Swarovski crystal, vintage beads and buttons, and mini ceramic pea pods.
The rows of plants trying to grow in the dry ground.
The fluffy white clouds filling the sky.

Beautiful! I love the colors-- they're bright, but still kind of restful. And I really like how you did the sky, with the beads echoing the shapes of the clouds.
this is beautiful! I love how yours tells a story!
Delightful -- a midwesterner, I associate with the fields of corn especially. A wonderful concept and beaded beautifully.
I love your journal page, especially the beautiful blue you used.
What a beautiful page.
It looks soft and peaceful.
I look forward to seeing more of your pages.

Hi Andi,
Love the colors and flowers AND the fluffy clouds make me smile :o) Thanks for sharing, Lillian in WA
Great page! Very pleasing to the eye.
Somehow it reminds me of a French impressionist painting... wonderful!!!
I love it! I can feel the wind and sun :) I love what you did with the little peapods and flower crystals.
Love the colors, they are so serene. I live in the country also and I wouldn't have it any other way. It reminds me of those perfect summer days that only happen once or twice in a season...bright sunshine, just a hint of a cool breeze and birds singing their happy songs! Thats where it takes me...love it!
The bead work in this journal is beautiful.
